Terms of Service

By accessing or using Books of Tiles, ethernal.ca, or related services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our services.
2. Eligibility
Books of Tiles is not directed to children under 13. If you are under the age of majority in your region, you may use the services only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. Parents and guardians are responsible for the activity of minors using the services.
3. Accounts
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
- You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- You may not sell, share, transfer, or allow others to access your account.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or harm the game, other players, or our services.
4. License to Use the Game
Subject to these Terms, Ethernal Studio Ltd. grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use Books of Tiles for personal entertainment purposes.
5. Intellectual Property
Books of Tiles, Ethernal, characters, artwork, music, lore, designs, code, logos, trademarks, and related content are owned by Ethernal Studio Ltd. or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from our content unless we give written permission.
6. Virtual Items and In-App Purchases
The game may offer virtual currency, items, upgrades, battle passes, subscriptions, or other digital content. Virtual items have no real-world cash value, are licensed rather than sold, and cannot be exchanged for money unless required by law.
Purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. Your purchase is also subject to the applicable platform’s terms, payment rules, refund rules, and family sharing settings.
7. Refunds
All purchases are final except where required by law or by Apple App Store or Google Play policies. Refund requests for purchases made through Apple or Google should be submitted through the relevant platform.
8. Prohibited Conduct
- Cheating, hacking, exploiting bugs, or using unauthorized software.
- Using bots, scripts, automation, emulators, or modified clients to gain unfair advantage.
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or tampering with the game or servers.
- Harassing, threatening, abusing, or impersonating others.
- Uploading or sharing unlawful, infringing, hateful, sexual, or harmful content.
- Creating unofficial servers, unauthorized marketplaces, or unauthorized mods.
- Attempting to disrupt, overload, or compromise our services.
9. Anti-Cheat, Security, and Enforcement
We may monitor gameplay, account activity, device identifiers, transaction data, and technical signals to detect cheating, fraud, abuse, and security issues. We may suspend accounts, remove progress, revoke virtual items, restrict access, or permanently ban users who violate these Terms.
10. User Content and Community Features
If the game or community channels allow you to submit names, messages, feedback, images, or other content, you are responsible for that content. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use submitted content for operating, moderating, improving, and promoting the services. We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
11. Availability, Updates, and Changes
We may update, modify, balance, suspend, or discontinue any part of the game or website at any time. Online features may require an internet connection and may not always be available. We are not responsible for outages, maintenance, data loss, or changes to gameplay balance, features, or virtual items.
12. Termination
You may stop using the services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk, cause harm, or if we discontinue the services. Some sections of these Terms will continue after termination, including intellectual property, payment, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute provisions.
13. Disclaimers
The services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that the services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or compatible with every device.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ethernal Studio Ltd. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of progress, loss of profits, or loss of virtual items.
15. Platform Terms
If you access Books of Tiles through Apple App Store or Google Play, you also agree to the applicable platform terms. Apple and Google are not responsible for our services, support, content, or claims except as required by their own terms or applicable law.
16. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. Please review it carefully before using the services.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the applicable laws of the province where Ethernal Studio Ltd. is registered, unless consumer protection laws in your region require otherwise.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the services after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
